CollectionAugust 17th, sponsored by Beijing Blockchain Application Association, Beijing Energy Association, Beijing Chuangxinshe Technology Incubator, the sixth offline salon of [Blockchain College] on the theme of "Blockchain + Energy: Application and Market Prospects " was Successfully held in Beijing.
During this event, Hu Jianwei, deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Energy Association, moderated this event and invited representatives from nearly 20 energy industry companies to attend the event. Jiang Zewu, Dean of the Hash Research Institute, and the founder of the China University Blockchain Technology Community, and Zhong Jingjing, the founder of Bitoutou and the former brand director of Energy Blockchain Laboratory, shared on the themes of “the Application Research on the Energy Blockchain " and “Blockchain + Energy: from Concept to Revolution”, respectively.
Jiang Zewu, dean of the Hash Research Institute, said “From the market data, 69% of blockchain energy projects are related to electricity. The reason for this situation is that the decentralization of the blockchain is in line with the characteristics of distributed energy, which can reduce the transaction cost of distributed power, improve transaction efficiency, realize precise digital management of energy, and provide a reliable, fast and open method to record and verify financial and business transactions. He pointed out that from the feasibility analysis, the application of “blockchain + power” still faced great challenges, and he elaborated it from the aspects of technical and regulatory feasibility, national natural distributed electricity generation, scale effect and so on. At the same time, he said “Based on the demand of energy-based financial direction, the blockchain still has certain advantages in decentralization, reducing trust costs, power traceability, and energy finance.”
Zhong Jingjing, the former brand director of Energy Blockchain Laboratory, said “there may not be any blockchain application that can meet the energy efficiency requirements of high efficiency, multi-participating subjectivity and strong consistency. He pointed out that the blockchain energy industry application needed good foundations, including market demand, policy licensing, Internet of Things system, blockchain distributed ledger, community transformation organized by company and tokenomics, in order to finally achieve DAPP (Decentralized Application) and to solve the problems that are not only in the energy industry, but also in industries, medical, transportation and other industries.
Liang Wei, Executive Secretary of the Beijing Blockchain Application Association, said “The association will gather industry resources from the perspectives of industry research, summits, personnel training, international exchanges, resource integration, to integrate industry sources, to jointly promote the development of blockchain through cross-border convergence, and to promote the innovation and development of advanced technologies. The "Report on Development of China’s Blockchain" compiled by the Association under the guidance of the People's Bank of China is the only one series of blue book in the blockchain field authorized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The "Report on Development of China’s Blockchain (2018)" will be published soon, please stay tuned. Finally, I would like to thank the guests for their wonderful sharing and see you in the next salon. I look forward to the more actively participation od the industry for more interaction and cooperation.
